Ms. Tapper's Science World
img064

I am beginning my sixth year of teaching for the Saint Paul Public School District. I taught at Arlington High School for two years before transferring to AGAPE High School. I enjoy teaching science, and I have taken a "life time" to get here. I began my career as a computer programmer in Chicago.  In my 30's I went back to school and earned my undergraduate degree in Biology from the College of Saint Catherine., St. Paul. As a biologist, I worked for the MNDNR and mosquito control during the summer and managed a coffee shop during the winter. I n 2002 I was accepted to the University

where I earned my Graduate degree in Science Curriculum Development.  As Agapes science coordinator, I have been able to increase Agape’s core curriculum to include higher level classes such as chemistry and anatomy. These classes better prepare our graduates for post-secondary education, and make our school fully prepared to handle the updated state science standards of 2011-2012.

As you might be able to tell, I enjoy the challenge of teaching as well as learning.  I whole heartedly believe that every student that enters my room, can and will succeed, as long as they come to my room prepared to make an effort to learn.

I look forward to working with you!   (Take a glance at the images below)
